The On the Edge. The Art of Faceting and Engraving glass exhibition showcases the evolution of two techniques of glass processing in our country: its establishment in the late 1940s, the golden age that coincided with the 1960s-80s, and the subsequent history. The exhibition displays more than 200 items from the collection of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, and about 40 more works from the Gus Crystal Factory Museum and from the creative workshops of independent artists.
The exhibit is made up of designs that had received the highest marks from the expert panels. Subsequently, limited-edition or large-scale production would be set up on the basis of these designs. The exhibit also showcases unique works. Many of them were marked with awards and prizes at international and all-Soviet exhibitions.
