Viktor Borisov-Musatov. Harmony of the Image

Exhibition architecture and design

The State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow

1270 м2

09.07.2026 - 08.11.2026

A major monographic exhibition dedicated to Viktor Borisov-Musatov at the Tretyakov Gallery. More than 140 works from museum and private collections trace the evolution of his artistic practice, in which painting, graphic art, photography, and decorative art converge in a search for a distinctive vision of harmony.

An important part of the exhibition is devoted to materials that reveal the artist’s working process: photographs and photographic studies, studies, pastels, and sketches for monumental murals. In this way, the exhibition presents not only Musatov’s finished works, but also the process through which he developed his own distinctive artistic language.
